Designer Sunnies ft. SmartBuyGlasses

If you follow me on instagram and managed to catch my unboxing of these SmartBuyGlasses on my instastory, than you already know how hyped I was to receive these! I wore them the day I got them, even though it was not sunny out at all, LOL. Sunglasses are a staple in all of my outfits, especially as we near the summer season. Although an accessory, they have the power to transform any look. I was lucky enough to select two pairs and you can bet they will be part of my Spring and Summer wardrobe staple pieces.

The first pair I received were these Ray-Ban Hexagonal Flat Lenses. I do not own any sunglasses with such a unique frame shape, so I thought these would be a fun element to any outfit. Also, the violet mirrored lenses certainly makes a statement just on its own. I aways appreciate sunglasses with the nosepads because they just work a lot better with my face shape.

I also chose these jaw-dropping Versace sunglasses. Everything about them is absolutely stunning, including the packaging it came in, which was 100% authentic with the appropriate certificates. They are now the biggest pair of sunglasses I own, but they make you feel so glamorous when you have them on. I feel like a celebrity hiding from the paparazzi, haha. Also, the dark frames are perfect for those mornings when you need to leave the house without makeup on. We all need a pair of sunglasses for that purpose alone, am I right?

I am now set on eyewear for the season! I highly recommend you check out SmartBuyGlasses for all your eyewear needs. They have the cutest styles and the best designers all in one place. Feel free to check out their gift guide here as well! x

Statement Spring Sandals

If you saw my last post, you might have noticed these killer sandals I wore. However, I adore them so much I wanted to address them in a completely new post. I was lucky enough to receive these bad boys from Beast Fashion LA. This was a great way for me to try out the velvet trend in a way that was suitable to my style. I was not really attracted to too much velvet in one outfit (ex. velvet shirt or dress), but I was all for these velvety grey sandals. The texture adds a lovely sheen and a bit of dimension to them. Not to mention it pairs so nicely with the gold hardware. I will also have you know, I wore them out on the night of my birthday and my feet did not hurt at all. Not only are they cute, but practical and comfortable which is what I like to see!

Skrt, Skrt

Although I can be pretty tomboyish at times, skirts are one of my favorite things to wear during the Spring and Summer, especially ones like the above that can be easily transitioned from day to night. In this outfit, I am wearing this gorgeous taupe corduroy skirt that I paired with a black bodysuit and jacket. The silver circle hardware on the belt of this skirt is a tiny detail, but definitely my favorite part about it because it really elevates the entire piece. You could also pair this with a graphic tee or crop top, depending not the vibe you’re going for!

In the last photo, I created this all black outfit featuring this lace-up bodycon skirt. I have been seeing this lace up trend on skirts a lot lately and I fell in love with the edgy detail. This is honestly the perfect skirt to wear out to a club during those summer nights!

Life update: Also, sorry for the lack of blog posts! I am wrapping up my internship and my last week of classes (for the rest of my life!!!), while also prepping for final exams. It was also my birthday yesterday, so I took some time off to celebrate with my girls. I am hoping to get back to a regular schedule soon. If not this week, definitely the week after as I finish up! x

Mesh

I have been attracted to clothing is “tastefully revealing” (LOL) with mesh, fishnet, and other sheer details. Naturally, this top was right up my alley (and it’s currently on sale). It is a really cute, easy top for this upcoming summer. I can definitely see myself pairing this with a cute skirt or shorts for a night out! For this outfit, I decided to layer a black lace barrette underneath for a more daring, edgy vibe. I also wore these maroon track pants and my Vans so it became a more more wearable look.

Fishnet and mesh are such fun trends to try out. It’s a great way to add some texture and an unexpected element to an otherwise plain outfit. What’s your favorite way to rock this trend?

As you can see from the first photo and from my post not too long ago, you can clearly see I have this thing for all hues of yellow right now. As you know, I am not one to go for color but somehow I am just drawn to this shade. I think it has to do with the fact that spring is finally here and it makes me feel quite cheerful when I wear it!Thus, I made this very yellow wishlist of some really cute, sunny pieces I found online! I think all of these are great options to add to your wardrobe to brighten it up. I promise, once you adorn one of these vibrant articles, your spirits will be lifted. That is how powerful yellow is!What’s your favorite color to wear right now?Follow(function(d, s, id) {var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if (d.getElementById(id)) return;js = d.createElement(s);js.id = id;js.src = “https://widget.bloglovin.com/assets/widget/loader.js”;fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, “script”, “bloglovin-sdk”))

Silky Smooth

I am 100% still on that slip dress trend, especially for the warmer months because they are so easy to throw on and are the epitome of comfort meets style. You can wear a slip dress with a bomber jacket, heels, sneakers, cardigan, etc. Honestly, the options are endless. In today’s look, I am wearing a neutral slip with my favorite duster and black boots. This is a great transitional season outfit that I will definitely be rocking different variations of!

How to Make the LBD Casual

A couple of months ago I purchased this gorgeous mesh midi t-shirt dress for an event. I ended up forgetting to bring it and it has been sitting in my closet ever since! I decided to pull it out and play with it because it was basically just collecting dust. I wanted to make it more wearable for everyday  use since I do not have any events coming up and I hate having clothing in my closet that I do not even touch anymore.

To cater it more towards an everyday, casual look I threw on this tie-dye chambray shirt from 10 Deep (similar here) and my Madewell x Vans Old Skool Sk8-hi’s (similar here). These two denim pieces compliment each other so well. Previously, I thought it was sort of a challenge to style sneakers with a dress, but I am totally digging it here. I will definitely be making an effort to wear more of this combination now that spring is here!
