Game, Set, Match

I mentioned yesterday on instagram how I loved wearing sets because it makes getting dressed 10x easier! You do not even need to wonder if it will match and you can just pop it on and call it a day. That is why I am totally digging this crop top and skirt combo from SheIn (XS). It is a really comfortable jersey material and is super flattering on the body. I really was drawn to the contrasting vertical stripes on the top and skirt, so naturally I thought it would go perfectly with my white Adidas Ultra Boost. This is going to be perfect for those scorching hot summer days when you do not really feel like trying, but still want to look cute.

Wishlist: One Piece Swimwear

Even last summer, I was eyeing the one piece swimsuit trend, but I have yet to find the perfect one. I am determined to finally own one of these babies come summertime, so I did someone online shopping to give myself and idea of what I really like. I gravitated towards suits that were minimal and had clean, flattering lines, such as the two white suits and the navy one. However, I was also attracted to suits with some detail and especially liked ones with mesh panel, like the bright red one and the black one. Although, I do not have any beach vacation planned, maybe finally getting a one piece will inspire me to start planning? Plus, totally love the idea of getting one to wear as a bodysuit too! Functional & chic. ✔️

Mustard

I have been on the hunt for the perfect mustard yellow top (similar) and I was finally successful at none other than the thrift store! Plus, it was only $1.50 so I was pretty happy to say the least. It is an XL, so obviously it is a bit baggy on me, but that is exactly what I wanted. I love the relaxed, casual look oversized tops have. I paired this yellow top with my yellow tinted sunglasses (naturally). Pulled on my favorite high-waisted jeans and these dark green boots to complete the look.

And can we just talk about Drake’s new More Life album for a quick sec? I am really digging the vibes of it and have had it on loop since it came out Saturday night. Some of my favorite tracks: “Passionfruit”, “Get It Together”, and “Ice Melts” just to name a few. A lot of amazing feel-good, summer songs. What are your thoughts?

Coming Apart at the Seams

Happy Monday! I hope you guys had an amazing weekend. Mine consisted of lots of work, but lots of play (maybe too much), but it was my friend’s birthday so you can’t blame me, right? On Sunday I worked and took it easy, hence this super cozy/casual look. I am wearing this sweatshirt I got from American Apparel, but since they’re going out of business it’s not listed don their website – sorry! I paired it with my favorite thrifted/DIY denim capris, my denim Vans, and my Supreme shoulder bag.

I have been absolutely loving this bag by the way! Even though, my one friend asked if I was using a camera bag as a purse 😂 She just does not understand da Preme life. It’s pretty small so it forces me to downsize by only bringing my essentials, which is kind of nice to avoid the dreaded bag clutter that always seems to accumulate. This bag is also pretty durable and not fussy, so I don’t really have to worry about it. Here are some other practical, durable bags you might be interested in:

In-between Seasons

The snow storm has come and gone and it has only succeeded in making it more difficult for me to take blog photos. I went to one of my usual locations, but had to abandon it since the township did not plow out the space. Thus, I resorted to shooting around my home. In my previous post about my trip to nyc, I mentioned I did a bit of shopping and this long sleeve wrap ribbed bodysuit was one of things I bought. I am seriously in love with this top and the way it sits off-the-shoulder and hugs the contours of my body. I paired it with a pretty old wool skirt and fishnet tights. A perfect “lingering-winter-approaching-spring” combination, right?

A Day in NYC

Remember how I mentioned I was going to be in New York for spring break? Well, that trip was condensed into just one day since this Nor’easter just so happened to be at the same time. All the weather forecasts were calling for 12-18 inches of snow in NYC and at my home in Philly. Needless to say, my friends and I thought it was not worth paying for an airbnb only to be stuck inside it for the majority of the trip.

However, we did go on Monday and had an immense shopping trip. We braved the bitter cold and basically hit all the good stores in Soho. I only picked up a new pair of sunglasses from Urban Outfitters and this gorgeous cream bodysuit from Top Shop though. I was kind of in a picky mood, so I didn’t want to buy anything else, but I was very happy with my purchases!

We also met up with Diana from Queen Horsfall and she joined us for some shopping and food. We found this pretty good restaurant in Little Italy and the artichoke pizza was amazing! We wandered around with her for awhile, before ending the night with some guilty pleasure fries from Shake Shake. Mmm.

It was a lovely, fun-filled day trip. We were a bit bummed we couldn’t stay in the city longer, but ya’ll now I will be back soon! x

I am trying to prep my wardrobe for the upcoming spring season and have been in the market for a new pair of shoes. I continue to obsesses over any kind of neutral shade, so naturally I gravitated towards nude and beige footwear as well. Here are some of the pairs I found through an extensive online shopping endeavor (when I should have been studying..). I am still debating if I want to invest in a new pair of sneakers or sandals next! Ahh. Too many options. Which one is your favorite?!

Sunday Adventures ft. Glamping with Pets

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I decided to take the pup out for a walk in the park because we were seeking some fresh air. I am 100% the typical crazy dog lady that wold do anything for their pet, so it absolutely breaks my heart when I have to leave mine when I go away for trips (or even when I leave the house for 5 seconds, let’s be real). I was so fascinated when Glamping with Pets reached out to me about their service. If you did not know what “glamping” is, it is luxury camping or glamorous camping. No wimpy, uncomfortable tents here! However, the best thing about Glamping with Pets is that they feature getaways that are completely pet tolerated, so you don’t leave any of the family behind.

The website features tons of different types of camping options, including tree houses, tipis, and cabins. I am hoping to do one of these pet-friendly trips in the summer with Kono (my golden retriever) and my boyfriend (that Asian guy). Hoop Dreams

Zara bodysuit/H&M top & jeans/New Look heels

I trekked to work in center city only to discover I did not need to be in that day, so I decided to take advantage of the early afternoon and go shopping! I mean, you would too, right? I only hit up a couple of stores, but managed to find this lovely bodysuit with silver hoop hardware from Zara. I thought it would be absolutely amazing for a night out, but also layered for a more day appropriate look. I paired a semi-sheer white long-sleeve top underneath so the bodysuit really popped. I also threw on my favorite pair of flared jeans and dangling earrings to complete the whole look.

Spring Lace

Personally, I don’t think I have a definitive style, but I have noticed I have been straying away from overly girly outfits. However, this is not one of those looks! Sometimes I like a change and have fallen so in love with this delicate neutral, eyelash lace romper (also comes in black/nude) from Sans Souci and my favorite part is how it just oozes femininity and romance. The top features this deep-v neckline and a vertical stripe and lace contrast. While the back has an intricate lace up detail that really brings the whole look together. As I said, it’s not something I would typically wear on a normal basis, but I think it is an amazing piece for spring if I wanted to dress up a bit more than usual.

I love fashion because there are so many different styles and something you wear might look completely different on someone else, yet you are both rocking it. That being said, no one should be confined to wearing just a certain style. Let’s face it. We all have to get dressed everyday, right? Clothing is a simple way to express your own personality, so why not get a little fun with it. Cheers!
