Shop the Trend: Endless Summer

I realized I am embarking on quite a few beach trips this summer. Although, PA has been experiencing some extreme bi-polar, rainy weather, I can’t help but think ahead to warm sand and soft waves. Alas, this week’s trend is all about swimwear.

This season, I find myself increasingly attracted to one-piece swimsuits which I have not worn since I was younger. Although it might include a bit more fabric, these suits still maintain an air of sex appeal. I also have been digging high-waisted bathing suits because of their retro vibe. Obviously, no beach attire is complete without accessories so I included some of my favorites. Specifically, those Gentle Monster sunglasses made me swoon. One day I will afford you. One day.

Are you going anywhere this summer?

Adventure: Longwood Gardens

Last week my boyfriend and I ventured to Longwood Gardens, a plant sanctuary just an hour drive away. It honestly felt like a different world. Tucked away in the conservatory were a bunch of exotic plants and flowers and like a true blogger, one of my favorites was the room filled with succulents and cacti.
Outside there was garden upon garden of beautifully manicured greenery. The entire time I was blown away by how scrupulous the gardeners have to work. There seriously was not a leaf out of place. If you are ever in the Pennsylvania area, definitely consider spending a few hours here! Especially if the weather is just right as there is quite a bit of walking. 🙂

I have never been an athletic person. You can probably assume this just by looking at me to be honest. However, you can catch me invading local courts to take ootd photos, haha. Is fashion a sport?
After wanting a pair for the longest time and some encouragement from my boyfriend (who is somewhat of a Vans enthusiast), I purchased my first pair. I was drawn more to the old skool style versus the regular and miraculously found these bad boys. I love the leather material and gold zipper hardware that makes them a bit more unique. These are the perfect casual sneakers and you guys will definitely be seeing them make a lot of appearances in upcoming posts!

Shop the Inspo: Denim Days

The first denim trousers were incepted in Italy and by the mid 19th century, was introduced into the United States. Made popular in 1873 by Jacob Davis who manufactured the first pair of “rivet-enforced” denim pants thanks to a customer requesting a pair of durable pants her husband could wear while chopping wood. Later, Davis was mass-producing his denim pants with Levi Strauss & Co.

Now, I truly believe there is nothing more classic than denim. If the American Dream had to be represented in fabric form, what more fitting than the blue jeans, symbolic of an individual’s durability and hard-work. I love how casual and effortless a denim look is and lately I have been feeling so inspired by everything from distressed denim and Canadian tuxedos (see my version here).

I have been on the hunt for a pair of high-waisted, light-wash, mom jean-esque, vintage pants but so far have not succeeded. I recently scoured my favorite thrift store and left empty handed. However, I came home and did some online browsing and compiled some of my favorite denim pieces from around the web. Enjoy!

Good afternoon, lovelies! Happy hump day! The weather cleared up enough for me to be able to shoot some photos today. I went to the thrift store the other day and only managed to come out with this thin scarf. I fell in love with the sheer floral pattern and knew it would be the perfect spring accessory.  Follow(function(d, s, id) {var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if (d.getElementById(id)) return;js = d.createElement(s);js.id = id;js.src = “https://widget.bloglovin.com/assets/widget/loader.js”;fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, “script”, “bloglovin-sdk”))

Hello, lovelies! You know what one of the best feelings is? Finally receiving a package you have been eagerly waiting for. I am the type of person who always waits around for the postman and is constantly checking the status of my tracking code. It truly feels like Christmas when the thing you purchased online finally comes in!

This was my exact reaction when I got these shorts in. I fell in love with the color and texture of these and even wore them as soon as I got them. Although they are pleather, they are still really comfortable to wear. I decided to pair them with my favorite tan neutrals for an urban-sweet vibe. I think these will be great to throw on when you want to dress up a t-shirt (as I have done). What would you wear them with?

Spring Fever ft. La Casabloga

Good morning, lovelies! I am currently en route to the beach. Although it is supposed to be rainy and a bit chilly, I will try and make the best of it. It makes me so envious of my newest blogger friend, Estrella from La Casabloga where I bet she is basking in the glorious Miami sun.

My look revolves around this amazing sweater dress I found in clearance at Forever 21. It immediately caught my eye because of the collegiate look and color-blocking stripes. I thought it would be a great piece to wear during the Spring season and could easily be dressed up or down. Of course, I decided to play up on the black (as I do best) and paired it with a mid-length black duster and some black heeled sandals.
I also accessorized with this gorgeous, long necklace from my recent Rocksbox set (use the code ‘mskerihxoxo’ for your first month free). I love long necklaces because they really elongate the torso and bring attention to the outfit. Also, my Daniel Wellington watch has hardly left my wrist this past month so naturally I wore that too.
One of my favorite things about blogging is the community and all the amazing, inspiring people I have met along the way. One of them being Estrella and we decided to collaborate on this post so be sure to head on over to her blog to check out the rest of her Spring Outfit pictures. You can also catch her on instagram and youtube

School’s Out For Summer (Inspo)

Guess who is done the school semester?! This girl! I survived yet another grueling finals season and could not be more relieved to be finished. It is weird to think summer break has begun for me (especially with this past week of dreary, cold weather), but I could not help but think about summer fashion. I have done a lot of online window shopping these past couple of days, so I put together a little collage/mood board to show you the pieces I have been  eyeing. I am all about the neutrals right now because it’s so clean and crisp.
Also, have been carrying the neutral trend over to my nails. This wet n wild nail polish was only $1 and it has a really nice, smooth formula! Highly recommend. If you haven’t already, follow me on instagram where I post a lot more frequently 🙂
Which is your favorite piece/trend right now?!
