How to Wear a Slip Dress in Fall

In a previous post, I relayed my love for the ever popular slip dress and knew I had to make this look fall appropriate so I can continue to wear my favorite lil number even as the days grow colder.

First off, I loved my cream dress so much, I decided to get one in black which is perfect for a more moodier season. Since the dress is quite light and airy, I also layered a cropped shirt underneath which is a beautiful lace and adds some contrasting texture. If I get cold, which is highly probable, I grabbed this army green trench coat to pop on top for yet another layer.

Lastly, the accessories are really what make this outfit fall acceptable. From the top, we have this gorgeous light grey suede cap which keeps my head a little more insulated. I brought along a pair of sunglasses (it’s still sunny in fall y’know) and for footwear, went with a black suede ankle bootie. Accessories are the easiest way to transform an outfit and these particular ones are super affordable and can be found at Zaful.

  1. I don't often think about layering when wearing a dress, because I the main reason I like dresses is because they're a whole outfit in one, no other item necessary, but this is a cute look and takes advantage of the versatility of the dress! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
