The Seventies

One of my favorite things to watch are documentaries and Netflix is seriously a goldmine of amazing, insightful series. I recently started this one called “The Seventies” by CNN. Each episode it takes some significant event or trend from that decade and analyzes and directs it. This point in history has always fascinated me, especially the fashion.

When I got this dress in it automatically made me think of the 70s because the classic shirt dress style and midi-length silhouette. I wish putting it on somehow teleported me to some Mad Men-esque fantasy haha. Alas, I will still wear it in our current 21st century in ode to a time before I was alive. If you are looking for something interesting and history related to watch, definitely give “The Seventies” a go!

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‘//’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’); //

Follow(function(d, s, id) {var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if (d.getElementById(id)) return;js = d.createElement(s); = id;js.src = “”;fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, “script”, “bloglovin-sdk”))

  1. I've been meaning to watch that series! My uncle was raving about how good it was– I had no idea that it was available on cnn so thanks for letting me know šŸ™‚ Love your fab 70s inspired look. The mules, shirt dress, and neck scarf are all so chic!

  2. I've been thinking of starting one of those decade related Netflix documentaries too. The 60s and 70s was such an interesting part of history – probably because so much changed so quickly! Either way, I am loving this dress. There is never, ever anything wrong with a good shirt dress.
